What do these wind ratings mean in relation to the manufacturers warranty?
If your posts and panels are damaged with mild winds the material manufacturer will review any surrounding damage done to other property in your area before replacing faulty material.
If your fence blows down and there are no similar claims of property damage in your area then the manufacturer will most likely favorably consider your replacement claim.
In the case that your panels or posts are damaged by an act of God (gale force wind / tornado / hurricane / earthquake / etc.) the fence manufacturer will not replace material and advises fence owners to utilize the coverage provided by their homeowners insurance policy.
If there is a large storm in your area and there are records of power outages, fallen trees, damaged property, etc. the material manufacturer will conclude that your fence damage was an act of God.
